Suzanne Thoma joined BKW in 2010 as Head of the Networks Division and as a member of the Executive Board. In 2013, she became CEO. Together with the Board, Suzanne Thoma and her team have successfully led BKW through the challenging years of upheaval on the international electricity markets. Today, the company, strengthened in every aspect, has bright prospects. BKW has a clearly defined growth strategy in the energy sector and service business tailored to the changed market conditions.

Roger Baillod, Chairman of the Board of BKW, comments: "On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Suzanne Thoma for her commitment and great contribution to BKW's success in recent years. Under her leadership, BKW has more than compensated for the continued drop in energy prices, thanks to its strong positioning and expansion of its service sector. As a result, profitability has increased, and value has been created for all stakeholders. BKW has created numerous highly qualified jobs, both domestically and internationally. Shareholders reaped the benefits in the form of higher dividends and a quadrupling of the BKW stock. We wish Suzanne Thoma success in her new professional endeavors."
