Martin Zwyssig to be new CFO of the BKW Group*

Change to the Group Executive Board of BKW AG

The BKW Board of Directors has appointed Martin Zwyssig as the new CFO of the BKW Group and a member of the Group Executive Board. A proven financial expert, he comes to BKW with extensive experience as a CFO in listed Swiss industrial companies. Since 2020, Martin Zwyssig has been Group CFO of Rehau, a leading international company for polymer-based solutions in the construction, automotive and industrial sectors. Martin Zwyssig will take up his new position at BKW on 1 July 2023. He is replacing Ronald Trächsel, who is leaving BKW at the end of June.

Martin Zwyssig (58) can look back on a long and successful career in leading Swiss industrial companies. During this time, the qualified financial specialist and authority on the Swiss and international industrial sector has successfully led numerous transformation projects and increased Switzerland’s competitive position as an industrial and business location. In 2018, the doctor of economics was named “CFO of the Year” by CFO Forum Schweiz.

Martin Zwyssig will take over directly from Ronald Trächsel. “With his comprehensive expertise, Ronald Trächsel made a significant contribution to the BKW success story,” says Roger Baillod, Chair of the BKW Board of Directors. “The Board of Directors and the Group Executive Board wish him all the best on his future path.”

The 58-year-old Martin Zwyssig is married and completed his studies at the University of St. Gallen as Dr. oec. HSG.
