Our subsidiary, Arnold, will supply CERN with cable terminations and medium- and high-voltage connectors (3-33 kV and 66 kV) for infrastructure update projects. It will also act as an emergency contact for the research institute in the event of a technical fault
Arnold will bring its technical expertise and years of experience to CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, and manufacture around 1,500 medium-voltage (3-33 kV) cable accessories (terminations and connectors) over a three-year period. These accessories will be used across all of CERN's technical installations as part of the renovation project, thus expanding their infrastructure. Our high-voltage experts (HSL) were commissioned to manufacture 66 kV accessories. Arnold also offers a 24-hour on-call service that will react to emergencies around the clock. In the event of a malfunction or unforeseeable event, two employees will be on site within six hours. In order to provide this service, we have entered into a partnership with Nexans Suisse. Nexans is also responsible for identifying and locating defects as well as identifying cable routes across the whole medium- and high-voltage cable network.
