An internet connection, an email address and a web browser are all that’s required. Suppliers don’t need to download software or apps.

Initially, BKW will also offer the conventional channel. But later on, BKW will only use the digital order processing options.

To start the registration process, you must accept the terms of use. Then, enter your company data carefully.
The registration process consists of the following five steps (please have all the information ready when it’s time for you to register):

  • Step 1: business information, such as your company’s name, address and VAT identification number. Ariba Network uses this information to ensure that your company is not already registered. When you register, you can choose whether this information can be seen by other suppliers on Ariba Network. Your personal account information will not be disclosed.
  • Step 2: company information, such as company address, email address, URL and other information. When you register, you can choose whether this information can be seen by other suppliers on Ariba Network. Your personal account information will not be disclosed.
  • Step 3: account administrator, such as contact information and login credentials for the representative responsible for maintaining your Ariba Network account.
  • Step 4: make registration settings, such as transaction settings and search criteria.
  • Step 5: make classifications, such as classification of product groups, industry and territory.

Ariba Network will prompt you to enter the answer to your secret question that you entered during the registration process.

Ariba Network

Ariba Network uses HTTPS (Secure Hypertext Transfer Protocol) for all communication between procurement applications, suppliers and Ariba Network.
HTTPS is the standard for secure internet communication and uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) with an RSA Labs encryption system. The accounts on Ariba Network are password protected.

 

By registering with Ariba Network, suppliers make their company profile information available to all Ariba Network customers.
This information enables BKW to carry out transactions with the supplier via Ariba Network.
What’s more, interested buyers can use this information to establish new business relationships. Protected account information, such as tax IDs and account settings, are not published. Suppliers do not have access to account information belonging to other suppliers.
