From the beginning of 2021, Corinne Montandon will head up the Energy Markets & Group Services division of BKW. The 44-year-old from Bern replaces Dr. Antje Kanngiesser, who has been appointed CEO of Alpiq. Dr. Montandon has held a number of roles within BKW since she joined the company in 2009. Most recently she was Head of Strategy & Development and a member of the executive management of BKW Power Grid. “We are pleased that we have managed to fill the role of Head of Energy Markets & Group Services with a proven internal manager,” says Suzanne Thoma, CEO of BKW. “Corinne Montandon has successfully driven the transformation of Switzerland’s largest distribution grid, always incorporating the demands of the energy transformation and digitalisation. She participated in the acquisition of LTB Leitungsbau GmbH and with it in the growth of BKW Infra Services. It is our firm belief that she will be just as successful in moving BKW forward in the energy market with customer-oriented digital business models.”
Corinne Montandon is looking forward to the new challenge: “The energy business and restructuring of energy systems offers numerous opportunities. Corinne Montandon holds a doctorate in business information technology. She completed her PhD, as well as a degree in business administration and economics, at the University of Bern. She lives with her partner in the Seeland region.
