Reduction of chargeable costs

BKW FMB Energy Ltd (BKW) takes note of the decision by the Federal Electricity Commission (ElCom) in mid-April 2011 in favour of reducing the chargeable operating costs for the BKW distribution grid by CHF 15 million per year. For the 4th quarter of the current financial year, when the reduction will first take effect, this means a reduction of around CHF 4 million. BKW accepts this decision and will create the necessary operating conditions to enable this reduction in earnings to be offset as far as possible by efficiency measures without compromising the high security of supply it guarantees for customers.
